Type Portrait​
The subject of my project is Jennifer Aniston. Once I grayed out the picture of her, I used the pencil tool to draw around the area I wanted to select. If I wanted to type along the outside of the selected area on the line, I used the type on a path tool. If I wanted to type inside the selected area, I used the area type tool. I decided to use quotes and actual words around her face, hand, nose, mouth, and hair, but changed the size of the font to 1 and
used one letter for areas that needed to be filled in. Another tool I used was the opacity tool. I changed the opacity to a smaller percentage in areas that were very light, or where there were shadows or faint lines on her face. A success in this project was being able to make little details noticeable through the use of the opacity tool and using a very small font. The place where a lot of detail was needed was in the eyes and on the hand. A difficulty I faced while doing this project was getting the lines I was tracing with the pencil tool to be right along the lines on the actual picture.
