Bottled Beverage Design
The brand name I came up with for this project was “Get Up & Go” and the tag line I included was “Start your morning off right!” Their product is an energy drink for people to drink in the morning when they wake up that will give them the energy to get up and be able to do the things they need to do to stay active. I used the colors orange and yellow because it reminds me of the sunrise and this product is something to drink in the morning. I used a picture of a person running because the drink should give them the energy to be able to go for a morning run and get their morning exercise in. To create my label, I used the gradient tool to create a gradient of colors for the background, the quick selection tool to select and drag the picture of the runner over, and the text tool for the words. I also used the line segment tool in illustrator for the orange and yellow lines at the top and bottom of the label. To create my bottle, I used the pen tool to draw the outline and create my points and the stroke and fill tools to change the color of the bottle. One difficulty I had with this project was how to arrange the words on the label so that they would be read correctly and not in the reverse order. One success I had was using the right colors and images to relate to the target audience and get the idea of the beverage across.​
